Red State is an interesting look into the hearts and minds of those who represent the majority in the U.S., according to the last election. Michael Shea does a fantastic job interviewing the various people he encounters in his journey. Despite his personal views, Michael does a great job asking the tough questions. Regardless of how much he agrees or disagrees with the opinions stated, he continues to probe the topics that divide this nation in a calm and insightful manner. Personally I’ve never been overly interested in politics, but I was amazed at how wholeheartedly people believe they are absolutely right in their views. At a time when many young adults tend not to vote, watching this movie might make them want to start. I’ve lived my life with a very open mind, but the views many of the people interviewed really makes me worried for the future. After watching Red State, you may not be so casual about not voting in the next election. Where do you stand?
